Travelling to Minsk

Minsk is easily reached via Minsk National Airport that has good connections to a number of major airports in Europe. Traditionally best options are Frankfurt and Vienna if you are flying with Lufthansa or Austrian Airlines.

The National airline is Belavia and it operates regular direct flights to Amsterdam, Paris, Milano, Frankfurt, Hannover, Vienna, Budapest, Warsaw and others. Please, check the airline webpage at to find out about all direct flights to Minsk.

A number of low-cost airlines are flying to a neighbouring airport in Vilnius, Lithuania, from where there is a fast train connection to Main Railway Station in Minsk.

Russian Airlines, such as Aeroflot flying from Moscow, could also be an option.

Please, note that the two latter options require a valid Belarusian visa, independently of the duration of stay in Belarus.

Visa Information

The majority of foreigners need a visa for visiting Belarus. However, if you are entering and leaving the country via Minsk National Airport and you are staying up to 5 days, the entry is visa-free. Please, ensure that you have a valid health insurance in this case.

We are also expecting that starting summer 2018 the visa-free period will be prolonged up to 10 days.

In case you choose to stay longer or enter the country via train or flying from Russian Federation, please, contact Natalia Dmitruk ( at the Organizing Committee for Invitation letters for the Embassies.
